An original production cel from the Walt Disney Studios television series The Mickey Mouse Club. Featuring the Greek scientist Hero of Alexandria discovering that fire and water equals steam, the hand-painted cel is from the "I'm No Fool with Fire" (1955) educational short, and was created at the studio during the animation process. The piece is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the cartoon. The trimmed cel measures 6.75"x2.75" overall, with an image area of 3.25"x2.75", and is in fair condition with visible paint wear in Hero's image including some lifting, cracking, and loss. We have paired the cel with a color printed reproduction background matching the scene in the short.
