A collection of six black and white press photographs from the 1979 grand opening of Big Thunder Mountain in Frontierland at the Disneyland Resort. Each photograph includes a press release caption describing the "Wildest Ride in the Wilderness!" The informational snippets are attached to the backside of each respective image and folded around to the front side of the image, as they were originally prepared by the studio. Measuring 8"x10" each, the photographs are in very good condition with expected age-related discoloration, warping, minor edge wear, and some folding to the press captions.
